<Success in life and better fortune; Prosperity of descendants; Longevity>
Jakko as the governor of the Koma County directed the people of the County to advance the development of the undeveloped land. In modern times, many worshippers such as politicians, literary men and historians attracted by this historical fact visited here. And because politicians one after another became the prime minister after the visit, people began to call it, “the Deity of Successful Career.” Today, the shrine has won reverence of the people who aspire to be successful in various fields. Also, the family line, the lineage of the Koma clan of the descendants of Koma no Kokishi Jakko, has been continuing spanning over 1300 years and 60 generations, and administering the services of this shrine one generation after another. Thanks to this history of the family, many worshippers visit here not only to pray for the “prosperity of descendants and conception of a child” but also for rites of “easy birth, the hatsumiya (newborn’s first visit to a shrine), the Shichi-Go-San festival (a gala for children of three, five and seven years of age), the Coming-of-Age celebration, annual greetings, etc., and it is now held in deep reverence.
